With a diverse background across disciplines such as digital audio, satellite imaging, aerial photography and cartographic design, Leigh has been designing and creating for the web since 1994. In recent years specialising further in user experience and design consultancy work.
He’s been designing layouts and interfaces since the days of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and Atari 800XL. He has been making websites more user-friendly, look better and work more effectively since grey backgrounds were the norm.
What do you do at Headscape?
I like to consider myself a ‘Jack of all trades’ as being the ‘master of none’ encourages more creative solutions. Being required to leap confidently into all steps of the research and design process with the latest Industry thinking ready to hand has given me experience in a wide variety of skills, from running stakeholder workshops, through to designing in design packages (currently Figma and Penpot), or directly in code in HTML/Javascript. I’m constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to learn and develop.
