Quicker to show than tell
This was certainly the case with this project. Rather than describing and suggested interface changes, we mocked them up quickly as hi-fidelity mockups; an improved version of the design that already existed.
We made major changes to the header layout, leading articles, structure, navigation and in the process redesigned the site for the client.
We improved the clarity and comprehension of the layout of the listings, article meta information, and worked on the search filtering, bringing the search straight to the content of the home page as this was the primary objective of most users of the site. We also showed options for bringing featured articles to the top of the home page to improve engagement and showcase new and important information.
