NATS - London Airspace Consultation - website design

We have worked with NATS (National Air Traffic Services) for many years on a number of different projects. The most recent being being the London Airspace Consultation website.

The purpose of the site is to demonstrate and explain the consequences of planned changes to flight routes over London and South of England.

We developed a system that allows users to search the site by their Post Code, thereby channeling them to information pertinent to where they live.

The site also needed to provide site users with methods of commenting on the plans. The design needed to be extremely clear and easy to use while demonstrating complex information. We carried out workshops, design look and feel work, prototyping, front-end coding and integration into the WordPress CMS.

Consultations have legal requirements to be clear and accessible to ensure that they are open to all – the Headscape team provided both the technical expertise to ensure the website achieved this, and also a good insight into what would work (and what wouldn’t) from a user perspective. We are happy with the resultant website, and the involvement of Headscape in the round.
